Product Instructions

Jet Valve™ inflation is designed for quick air release, making the float extra easy to deflate.

To inflate:

  1. Remove valve cap and pull out stem to open.
  2. Inflate air chamber by mouth.
  3. Immediately after inflating, cover valve opening with index finger and press the stem of the valve into float to lock the seal.
  4. Replace valve cap, pressing down firmly.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 for the second air chamber.
To deflate and store:
  1. Remove valve cap and pull out stem to release air. Deflate float before folding.
  2. Hold float as shown below, palms facing out. To stabilize the float and make it easier to fold, step down on the metal spring around the perimeter of the float. Bring your hands together in front of you.
  3. Overlap your hands and float will automatically close into 3 small circles.

Amazingly versatile and comfortable. Bring it to a party, and everyone chooses it over the rest. It keeps you comfortably afloat whether you lay, sit, or straddle it, and the fabric is neither slippery like plastic nor rough like canvas, and no sharp edges. It blows up with a few breaths, and can be put away within seconds. - - Sadly, although I had an unopened old version, I hadn’t thought to open it until this year only to discover it came with a broken spring. - - I bought a couple new ones for the pool parties, but was disappointed to find they no longer make the beautiful deep rich navy blue with the azure blue netting. It has been replaced with a faded French blue with a bright sky blue netting that looks like a cheap faded pool lining (available at Target). It looks old the minute you open it, and almost has a greenish algae hue to it, making you want to try to clean it. Everyone noticed the colors had changed, and they preferred the older darker colored version and commented that it showed off their tans better: https://i.imgur.com/4nA3gBL.jpg . --- I hope they return to the deep rich colors that this product deserves.

I have purchased 6 of these over 10 years. I prefer the normal flat ones. Mine have worked well and do not leak water. After three seasons or so in a saline pool (I remove them from the water and sun when not in use), the fabric starts to tear. I also see rust developing. I've had one where the spring broke. One limitation I've found is that even when deflated I can't fold them back to as received for storage. When I tried that, the spring broke. I don't do that anymore.

We have bought many of these for the pool and had pretty good luck with them. But unfortunately they were stolen, replaced with 2 both of which leak and fill full of water. Im not sure if I just got two duds or if the floats are made different now :( Very disappointed. Especially after driving and calling EVERYWHERE to find these in the winter - as I am studying abroad in the carribean and wanted to replace the stolen ones little did i know they'd fill with water :(

I purchased my first Spring Float because all of my neighbors have them and said they last forever. I must have gotten a bad one, because mine takes on water and the valves don't stay shut. I have to drain the water out each time I leave the pool. I love the design and concept though. ***Response from SwimWays: We forwarded your review and contact info to our customer service team and they are sending you a replacement. If you have additional questions or want to get back in touch with us, give us a call at 1-800-889-7946. Our lines are open Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm. ***

We received 2 of these as gifts and neither of them will stay inflated. I love the idea, and they are great for the first 5 minutes until the air leaks out :-( I just wish they would hold air like they should. ***Response from SwimWays: We are sorry to hear you had this experience with the floats you received. Our customer service team is sending you replacements. You can also contact us at 1-800-889-7946 for further assistance. Our lines are open Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.*** I wanted to update that the customer service team did exactly what they stated in their response. I haven't used the new spring floats yet, but I'm very impressed that they stand by their product.
