I have had several of these recliners and I love the design and comfort. One began to leak after someone put pressure on the inner side of the footrest for a prolonged period of time. A second one snapped the the outer ring when I tried to fold it up at the end of the season however I have had great use out of them for 8 years! I notice that shops in my area seem to have discontinued carrying this particular product while they continue to stock other Swimway products and I hope they bring them back.

Had 2 of these for 5 years with no problems. So I purchased 3 new ones for guest but after 2 months 1 started to leak after very easy use. Older ones were evidently made better. An the store has no replacements at the end of summer ***Response from SwimWays: We are very sorry to hear that one of your floats leaked and that you were not able to get a replacement from the store. I bought three of these recliners, and was very disappointed. After 2 weeks, of normal use, all three ripped and leaked air. ALL THREE! I took them back to the store, replaced them with the only two left, and guess what, it only took a week and POOF! ripped again. We do not have children, so they were not roughly used. All we do is float in the sun. Very unhappy. ***Response from SwimWays: We are very sorry to hear about the performance of the Recliners you purchased, and have passed your information to our customer service team for follow-up. Love, love, love this float. I had one like this for 10 years and it finally gave out so I purchased this one and the one with the canopy. I use them everyday and would highly recommend them.

I have purchased a total of 3 of these the mesh material always seems to rip... I bought myself, my husband and my dad one for his pool but they rip after one season and for as much as you pay you would think they would use a material that hold up better. WILL NOT BUY AGAIN!!! ***Response from SwimWays 6/16/14: We are very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the performance of this product. Your contact information and review have been forwarded to our customer service team for follow up. You may also reach out to us directly at 1-800-889-7946. ***

We really liked these initially but, after only two weeks, the seams tore on both of the floats. We took them back to the store and exchanged them and the SAME THING HAPPENED!!!!! All we do is float on them in a pool a couple of times a week - there's no stress on them whatsoever. The quality of these are obviously horrible. We read the positive reviews but have not had the same kind of satifaction. These are NOT durable and furthermore, more expensive on this site than we bought at a brick and mortar store. ***Response from SwimWays 9/12/13: We are so sorry you have had repeated trouble with the Spring Float Recliners! Our customer service team has sent you new floats directly from our factory warehouse, and they should arrive shortly.***

I have had two of these lounges for 7 years! Finally after prolonged sun exposure, the mesh and fabric gave out yet the bladders still held air! 7 years! We then ran over them with our truck to pop them and throw away. The did not pop even with a 1/2 ton pick up on them. Great product! Bought a new one, the foot rest does not hold air, the cover has a small hole and it is not worth the horrendous shipping to deal with the problem Quality control has obviously been compromised!. ***Response from SwimWays: Joy, we are so sorry about these problems with your new floats, especially after such a positive experience with the first ones you purchased lasting 7 years! We have passed your information and comments on to our customer service team for follow-up. You may also contact them directly at 1-800-889-7946 (Monday-Friday, 8:30 - 5:30 EST) or fill out our web form here: http://www.swimways.com/contact-us.aspx. Great Spring Floats and great company to work with. I had purchased the Kelsyus brand (part of Swimways), and really enjoy the floats, but unfortunately had a problem with the mesh. Customer service were excellent and responded immediately. Problem resolved within 24 hours! Thanks for such excellent customer service. I will certainly buy again and recommend to others.

Have had my floats going on year two....one of them has ripped just where the underside of your knee goes. there are about 2 dozen of these floating around my lake area and the comfort of them is awesome but the durability for the price is below average. Would like to buy more for our lake guests but I am worried spending that kind of money will be useless?? ****Response from SwimWays: We are very sorry you are experiencing an issue with this product. We have sent your contact information and your feedback to customer service for follow-up. You may also call us directly at 1-800-889-7946. ****

Purchased years ago to float in the lake during boating. The step through design is the best feature. Keeping lower body cool and wet when needed and the top dry and cool with partial submersial. Love this Float. Purchased a total of four now and the whole family enjoys this recliner. Thank You Swimways.

Bought Spring Float Recliner 13018 but within three weeks the foat rest seams began to ripe. The only user is a 140 lb senior female. Like the float but very poorly constructed in the foot rest seams. TOM

This is the best float EVER...keeps you cool by submerging your body, but lets you tan your legs by keeping them elevated...The back and headrest are comfortable to kick back with a great book. We took these to Jamaica with us...the easy fold design left plenty of room for everything else, and we were envy of everyone else at the pool. They last years -- I'm buying two more

Do not waste your money on this float!!! I bought one and it tore at the footrest the first time I used it. Exchanged it for a new one and it did the same thing first time. I am not a large person -130lbs. What a waste of money!!!!!

Love the design of this float, but it's a little too big for our small home pool (we've got the sunseats at home and love those). I've used the recliner before at a friend's house several times and it's wonderful. Reading the other reviews here I wonder if there's a bad batch of floats out there? My friend got hers recliners online earlier this year and hasn't had a problem all summer, even with kids (and our husbands!) flailing all over them.

My review of the chair isn't good, hopefully my replacent of it will be better. However, Customer Service....TOP NOTCH. I purchased this and a regular flat float thing at the same time. I was excited to float in this thing! I inflated with my own hot air. Put in the pool and seemed ok but by the time I got out of the pool it was seriously deflated. The next day, totally deflated. I thought it was hot air cold water, but I tried to blow it up again and it would not hold air. I'm average weight height and didn't place undue stress on it. HOWEVER....some 2 months after, I contacted customer service with nothing more than the information that both of my floats were defective, where and when I purchased them and I promptly received an email indicating replacements were on their way. I'm amazed and though I am hesitant at purchasing future swimways products, I probably will, based on customer service alone. Thank you

June 2012 - We had same problem with the seam at the footrest tearing after one use..I weigh 160.. will not buy again.. the best recliner for comfort but durability is useless... Better and stronger joints on the seams woulod prevent them tearing so easily.

I have 2 of the standard spring floats, and I recently purchased 2 of the recliner floats. The durability of the recliner floats does not seem to be of the same quality. I have had to take 3 of them back to the store where purchased after only 1 use each. The seam near the bottom foot rest on both sides of the float tears apart easily. I just don't feel like if I am paying $30+ for a pool float that after 1 use I should be experiencing this wear and tear. We take good care of all of our floats, they do not stay in the pool and children are not allowed to play on them. It is a super compfortable float, very relaxing and enjoyable. I think I would just rethink the placing the seams in a different location to prevent them tearing so easily.

These are great! This was my first Spring Float, & it's still going strong! I've had mine for years and never had any problem w/the mesh or anything else! I weigh over 225 lbs., & have friends who are heavier, who also use it, & it works fine for all of us! I use it all the time, too! SO comfortable and on cooler days, you can use it w/hardly getting wet at all! I bought several other Spring Floats, for when I want to be completely wet, and even can do so, w/this one, when I want to! Dries so nice and quickly and nice and light. Wish it were easier to fold up, and better directions were given for how to do that, but that doesn't take away from the great comfort of it!

Have had 2 recliners for 2 years--mesh gave out on one and a tear developed next to the inflatable end of the foot rest on the other at the end of the 2nd year. We are adults with no kids tearing up our toys--We rinse off the floats after use and take them out of the water until the next weekend--I wouldn't mind replacing them every 2 years if the price was lower--Also can't find them in any stores any longer!!

I have had my chair for 2 years and finally the mesh let go on the chair. It started to breakdown after about a year, but last summer was it for this chair. The pool I have has a 3 inch float/lounge area that I use this chair in and the texture of the pool just slowly ripped the mesh out the bottom. I can not find this chair in any store, so I am excited to find it online. Great job putting y'all web site on the chair!

My husband and I have had our recliners for 4 years now and they have gone to many different destinations, Jamaica, Dominican, Mexico and Cuba to name some. My husbands got broken coming home from our last vacation in Jan 2011 and I am desparately trying to order 2 more for us and our son is getting married in July and going away somewhere hot and I wanted to order 2 for them but I cannot find any locations to purchase and it appears they are not available on line Posted by Mary

We love the recliner but have a PROBLEM with it.....somehow water has gotten into inflatable part and we can't get it out! We have three of these and this happened to two of them. They can still be used, althought they float alittle low...but we can't pack them up for storage. I have written to the company to see if this is a common problem. Will write another review to tell how this problem was handled.

have owned for several years - used by a friend with a bad back - she cannot lay on her stomach or flat on her back - this allows her to relax in the pool in comfort - I do think it takes a while to inflate - but other than that it is great - have had no problem with mesh and I have had mine for several years -

My first spring float recliner, which I've had for 5 years, just this summer sprung a leak. And that was only after my nephew used it to float down a low flowing river bumping over lots of rocks! I was lucky enough to find my second spring float at a thrift store. And I'm going to buy another one today.

the floats are great the problem with the people complaining about the mesh only happens because they dont rinse off the chemicals or leave floats in treated water all the time...the mesh last forever if you will clean your float...weight is not the problem,,,they are the best!!!

We have owned 4 of these floats over the years and they are by far the most comfortable floats in our pool. The problem we have is that the mesh bottom tears and the seat becomes unusable. We are of average weight and use the floats correctly but they never seem to make it past one season. For the price, I would hope you could figure a way to make the mesh more durable. We will have to look for options before we purchase again.

Love this float except for the durability. I just purchased mine on June 1st exactly 6 weeks ago and the mesh is coming detached from the seat. I am of medium height and weight and have probably only used it less than a dozen times. It truly is the most comfortable float I've ever been on but I am hoping it will be covered by some kind of warranty. The store no longer has this style ...

Have used one of these for a couple years in our home pool, and loved it for a while until the mesh seat started falling aprart. The material is not real durable, so now we have to toss it, wished it would have lasted longer

After using a friend's float decided I would spend the extra $ and buy me one. Easy inflate and deflate, comfortable, easy to carry on conversations with people around you, easy storage. The trick to folding it up could be explained better on the instructions. The recliner is extremely difficult to find in stores, but I prefer the sitting up position. Most stores carry only the same two Swimways items.

We've had one of these floats for over a year now. We absolutely love it!!! It is THE most comfortable float I've been on! All of the qualities you want (comfy, feels like you're in the water, cool, not too big in the pool or for storage, etc.) are here. My husband just made me join this page to order him one for next year!!! Can't this year because we have to wear out the ones we bought recently (store was out of these by then)!

I purchased this float about a month ago. Although I have never spent so much on a pool float, I am thoroughly happy. This is a VERY compfortable float. Couldn't ask for anything better, well...maybe a coupon for my next one! now, my husband wants one!
